Finally I got time to write this post for the blog as I was busy all these days participating in a competition hosted by a Computer Graphics community forum CG Tantra, It's a competition to design a mascot for the forum. Therefore I came up with a character who is a old, bald, skinny guy with a long beard, a tantrik. The context behind the character (Mascot) is as CG Tantra members are called Tantriks. Tanta itself is a complex word and is not what is being portrayed. The systematic process of doing any action is known as Tantrism,and person who performs Tantrism is called Tantrik so in a way anybody performing any systematic work will be a Tantrik. but this forum (CG Tantra) is CG community where all CG guys (mostly are from Indian Sub-continent) come at one place and display their work, receive feed backs, reviews and expert advice from the senior industry members, share their experiences - A complete resource house for all computer graphics related issues.
The mascot needs to gel in with the vision of the forum and area is covers which is Computer Graphics, but at the same time it resembles to this part of the world. Therefore I came up with this character. He is old which depicts that he is an Experienced, Intellectual guy inherited with wisdom constantly at work, who is a vessel of knowledge, vast and profound and ready to share his knowledge.
The Last day of submission is 15th October and I hope I wont be late.
